On March 14, 2014, the State-Owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council issued “Reply on Approval Concerning the Establishment of CGN Power Co., Ltd.” referenced Guo-zi-gai-ge No. 123, 2014 endorsing CGN’s application to set up CGN Power jointly invested by CGN, Hengjian Investment Co., Ltd. and CNNC.
On March 24, 2014, CGN Power inauguration meeting and first shareholders' general assembly was held at Daya Bay nuclear power base in Shenzhen, during which the first term the board of directors for CGN Power was elected.
On March 25, 2014, CGN Power was formally registered at the Shenzhen Market Supervision and Administration Bureau.
On April 15, 2014, CGN Power held the second meeting of its first board of directors in Shenzhen.
On April 15, 2014, CGN Power held its first interim shareholders’ general meeting of 2014 in Shenzhen.
On the afternoon of April 28, 2014, an opening ceremony of CGN Power was held, wherein Mr. He Yu, Chairman of CGN, and Mr. Zhang Shanming, Chairman of CGN Power jointly unveiled the CGN Power. Mr. He Yu awarded the Corporate Legal Person Business License of CGN Power to Mr. Gao Ligang, CEO of CGN Power.
On April 30, 2014, CGN Power issued a formal circular entitled “Notification on the Establishment of CGN Power Internal Management Organization Structure” (referenced Zhong-Guang-He-Dian No. 1 2014) to specify the composition of 19 departments within its organization.
On July 18, 2014, CGN Power held the third meeting of its first board of directors in Beijing.
On December 10, 2014, CGN Power (1816. HK) was listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
On December 22, 2014, CGN Power was incorporated into Financial Times Stock Exchange 100 Index (FTSE 100 Index) .
On December 24, 2014, CGN Power was incorporated into MSCI China Index.
On March 9, 2015, CGN Power was incorporated into Hang Seng Composite Index(HSCI) , and start trading in Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect at the same time.
On June 8, 2015, CGN Power was incorporated into Hang Seng China Enterprises Index (HSCEI) .
On November 13, 2015, CGN Power won China Securities Golden Bauhinia Awards- Best Listed Company and Best Board Secretary of Listed Companies for its fabulous performance in 2015.
On November 27, 2015, CGN Power won FinanceAsia’s Best Listed Company Award for its robust operation performance, wide development prospects and favorable social benefits.
On November 30, 2015, and December 7, 2015, CGN Power was incorporated into Hong Kong stock options and stock futures contracts.
On December 2015, one year after listing, the accumulative net southbound purchasing amount for CGN Power under Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect has exceeded 1 billion, ranking top 5 among the companies listed in Hong Kong.
