Announcement on the start of construction of Lufeng Unit 6

Lufeng Unit 6 of CGN Lufeng Nuclear Power Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of CGN Power Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”), conducted the first concrete pouring of the nuclear island on August 26, 2023 (First Concrete Date), that is, Lufeng Unit 6 started construction on that day and entered the civil construction stage.

Lufeng Unit 6 adopts the Hualong One (HPR1000) nuclear power technology, with a single unit capacity of 1,200MW.

After the start of construction of Lufeng Unit 6, the number of nuclear power units under construction managed by the company is seven (including four units entrusted by the company’s controlling shareholder), with a total installed capacity of 8,408MW.
