CGN Taipingling Nuclear Power Plant Unit 1 Hot Functional Test Completed

At 10:00 on September 15, CGN Taipingling Nuclear Power Plant Unit 1 completed a primary circuit drainage, marking the successful conclusion of the hot functional test (referred to as "hot test"), advancing one more step towards the goal of high-quality operation, and laying a solid foundation for subsequent fuel loading and grid-connected power generation.
The purpose of the hot test is to carry out various tests on actual conditions across the entire pressure and temperature range from reactor pressure vessel head fastening to hot shutdown state before fuel loading, to verify the functionality and response of nuclear steam supply system equipment and systems, validate regular tests, operational procedures, and further familiarize operational personnel with plant operations through the test process to ensure nothing goes wrong with nuclear safety.
As the nation's first ecological nuclear power construction demonstration project, CGN Taipingling Nuclear Power has made dozens of adjustments and optimizations on the basis of previous projects, such as optimization of main parameters, containment internal refueling water tank layout, and independent design of steam generators, and for the first time carried out localizatoin of major equipment such as steam generators, turbine control system platforms, pressurizer spray valves, and main steam safety valves, accumulating critical technical indicators and engineering experience for CGN's batch construction of HPR1000.
