On April 13, 2026, the sixth China International Consumer Products Expo (CICPE) opened grandly in Haikou, Hainan Province. This edition of the Expo is the first to be held since the official launch of island-wide customs clearance operations at the Hainan Free Trade Port. With the theme "Openness Drives Global Consumption, Innovation Powers a Better Life," the Expo continues to uphold the concept of a "green expo," advancing green practices across all aspects including energy, construction, and resource utilization.

As a key green guarantee for this major national consumer goods expo, CGN New Energy (Hainan) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Hainan Company") has once again been appointed the exclusive green power supplier for this year's CICPE, providing 100% green electricity to all venues and supporting the "green expo" concept with zero-carbon energy. This partnership has resulted in a green power transaction agreement of 2,000 MWh, equivalent to reducing standard coal consumption by approximately 600 tonnes and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 1,313 tonnes.

Hainan Company, as CGN's development platform in Hainan, is fully responsible for the investment, construction, and operation of new energy projects in the province, and coordinates the development of CGN's other business sectors in Hainan. Since signing a strategic cooperation agreement with the provincial government in August 2021, Hainan Company has further deepened central-local cooperation and continued to increase investment. To date, its cumulative investment in Hainan has exceeded RMB 2.2 billion, with an installed capacity in operation of 324.3 MW. It has also obtained a preliminary approval for a 600 MW offshore wind power project. Hainan Company has thus become a major green power supplier in Hainan, laying a solid foundation for supporting the CICPE with green electricity.

To put the concept of green development into practice, Hainan Company, based on the development needs of the Hainan Free Trade Port, has deployed a number of diversified new energy projects. Through a "new energy plus" integrated model, it is enabling multiple benefits in ecological protection, industrial development, and the improvement of local people's livelihoods.

The CGN Hainan Danzhou Yangpu Port Photovoltaic Power Station, which is grid-connected and operated using a "self-consumption with surplus electricity fed into the grid" rooftop photovoltaic power generation model, achieved CGN's "first breakthrough" in energy project development in Hainan Province.

The CGN Hainan Baisha Longjiang Photovoltaic Power Station adopts a "photovoltaic power generation + agricultural cultivation" model. Through measures such as establishing technology test greenhouses, improving soil quality, growing vegetables for supply assurance, trialing and promoting new vegetable varieties, and integrating with the "vegetable basket" project, it is exploring the optimal model for "agrivoltaic" projects. In doing so, it provides employment opportunities for local villagers and supports rural revitalization.

The CGN Hainan Wenchang Liyang Photovoltaic Power Station adopts a "photovoltaic power generation + aquaculture" model. By deepening the application of intelligent technologies and deploying systems such as AI-based inspection and intelligent diagnostics to achieve automated monitoring throughout the entire process, it has established a new operation and maintenance model characterized by "unattended operation, remote maintenance, and expert support," providing technical support for the efficient and stable supply of clean energy.

The CGN Hainan Wenchang Moon Bay Photovoltaic Power Station adopts a design integrating "agricultural cultivation + aquaculture + photovoltaic power generation + energy storage." It deeply integrates and develops complementary industries — agriculture, aquaculture, photovoltaics, and storage — for comprehensive utilization and multi-purpose land use. With solar panels generating electricity above, dry land farming below the panels, and aquaculture in ponds, the station achieves a triple benefit: PV generation combined with agricultural and aquaculture production. It generates 200 local employment opportunities annually.

From rooftop photovoltaics to agrivoltaic and aquavoltaic complementary projects, and further to the deep integration of agriculture, aquaculture, photovoltaics, and storage, the diversified new energy projects deployed by Hainan Company not only demonstrate CGN's technological strength and innovative concepts in the clean energy sector but also fulfill its central enterprise responsibilities through concrete actions. The provision of 100% green power for this year's CICPE is a vivid example of the company's deep commitment to green energy and its efforts to achieve the "dual carbon" goals.

CGN New Energy will take this opportunity to continue actively engaging in the trading of green power and green electricity certificates, promote the use of green electricity, and focus on the "dual carbon" goals, contributing its central enterprise strength to the construction of Hainan as a Clean Energy Island.
