Ling’ao NPP Ⅱ（Lingdong Nuclear Power Station）

The first nuclear power unit at our Lingdong NPP, which is also located at our Daya Bay base, began commercial operations on September 20, 2010. The plant currently has two operating nuclear power units and a total installed capacity of 2,174 MW. Lingdong NPP’s nuclear power units use CPR1000 technology.
 

Ling’ao NPP Phase II is a demonstration project of CPR1000 design, a kind of improved 1000MWe-class PWR technology with self-reliant intellectual property rights, and the first 1000MWe-class nuclear power plant indigenously designed, manufactured, built and operated in China, which plays a role of transitional technologies in the nuclear power development in the country. Through the implementation of this particular project, China has fully grasped the Gen-II plus 1000MWe-class reactor technology to possess the associated core capabilities of design self-reliance and manufacturing localization thereby laying a solid foundation for the introduction, digestion, absorption and innovation from a high starting point of Gen-III nuclear power technologies.
